Opportunity Youth United receives support from foundations, corporations, and individuals who believe in the power of low-income young people as leaders in efforts to transform communities, influence policy and end poverty and injustice.

Annie E. Casey Foundation
Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions
The Aspen Institute’s Forum for Community Solutions is focused on developing solutions and public policy benefitting Opportunity Youth.
The Forum is working in partnership with OYUnited in many local communities where Aspen had made Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund grants. It is also funding our core capacity to build the OYUnited movement of young leaders across the country. They have made subgrants to OYUnited from a Ford Foundation BUILD grant and a Google grant for connectivity for 100 young leaders.
Blue Haven Initiative
Blue Haven Initiative is an innovative family office dedicated to putting wealth to work for competitive returns and positive social and environmental change
The California Endowment
The California Endowment is a private, statewide health foundation with a mission to build a stronger state by expanding access to affordable, quality health care to under-served communities and improving the overall health of all Californians.
The Endowment has generously funded the full costs of the OYUnited Community Action Teams (CATs) in Los Angeles and Sacramento in their mobilization to benefit the health of low-income young adults.
The Carolina Fund
CIRCLE: Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement, at Tufts University
CIRCLE focuses on the political life of young people in the United States, especially those who are marginalized or disadvantaged. Its scholarly research informs policy and practice for healthier youth development and a better democracy.
CIRCLE is working with OYUnited to do research on voting attitudes among opportunity youth, and to build an industry-recognized certification for civic engagement skills in order to enhance employability through civic engagement.
The Ford Foundation
The Ford Foundation is committed to creating a more just, fair, and peaceful world with opportunity for all.
Through both Aspen and CIRCLE, Ford is supporting the core movement-building capacity of OYUnited.
Marguerite Casey Foundation
The Marguerite Casey Foundation exists to help low-income families strengthen their voice and mobilize their communities in order to achieve a more just and equitable society for all.
The Foundation is providing generous operating grants to OYUnited to build capacity for civic engagement among low-income young people across America.
National Youth Alliance for Boys and Men of Color
The National Youth Alliance (NYA) is a coalition of five youth organizing networks committed to advancing the leadership of young men of color in organizing for change in their communities. Opportunity Youth United is one of these five networks.
NYA provides grants to our local Community Action Teams, and funds core support for OYUnited.
Schultz Family Foundation
The Schultz Family Foundation is committed to lifting the human spirit and bringing possibility to everyone. The Foundation has put priority attention on veterans and Opportunity Youth in recent years, with special attention to employment, service, and leadership opportunities. OYUnited is one of its regular grantees.
