OYUnited appoints former Opportunity Youth who have emerged locally as trusted young leaders anywhere in the United States to become OYUnited national Community Leaders. As Community Leaders they receive invitations to participate in national convenings, advocacy, public policy focus groups, trainings, and other opportunities where they will publicly represent OYUnited and all Opportunity Youth. Some of them run for local office.
In 2020 there were 50 OYUnited Community Leaders; in 2021 there will be 75. A representative group can be found below (bios coming soon!).
