My name is Julian Wicks and I am born and raised on the west side of Chicago. Currently, I am teaching math at the middle school I graduated from, Chicago Jesuit Academy. In college, I majored in English Literature and Educational Policy. I am committed to opening up pathways for members of my community — and underserved communities throughout the country — to reach the highest possible successes. Last year, I worked for City Year Chicago and that experience highlighted the fact that minority students do not get served properly in our education system.
